As the domestic season nears the end across Europe, the Champions and Europa League titles are now within the reach of just four sides after the completion of the respective semi finals.

Tuesday night saw the battle between Bayern Munich and Barcelona with the Germans looking to overturn a 3-0 first leg defeat. Their task eased inside seven minutes with an opening goal from Medhi Benatia but the joy was short lived as Neymar levelled the game and restored Barca's three goal aggregate lead at 4-1.

The Brazilian added a second strike on 29 minutes before Bayern fought back in the second half with a 59th minute effort from Robert Lewandowski before Thomas Muller gave Bayern a 3-2 lead on the night. The Germans held on for the win but it was of course in vain as they suffered a 5-3 aggregate loss.

However, after scoring the first leg winner, Alvaro Morata again  haunted his former side, this time scoring an equaliser on 57 minutes with a strike that proved to be vital as Juve secured a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Thursday night saw the last four of the Europa League with holders Sevilla looking to reach consecutive finals as they defended a 3-0 first leg lead over Fiorentina.

The Italians hoped to follow Juve into a European final but were denied the chance by two first half strikes from the holders as Bacca and Martins struck on 22 and 27 minutes to wrap up a 5-0 aggregate victory.

After drawing 1-1 in the first meeting with Napoli, Dnipro hoped to secure a first ever European final appearance with with the Italians keen to deny the Ukrainians.

Dnipro struck first with Seleznyov scoring his second goal of the tie on 58 minutes with his strike proving to be crucial as the hosts held on for a 1-0 win and a victory that ensured they advanced 2-1 on aggregate.
